Three top tips for MSc applications
October 29, 2014
Masters applicants have the option to choose from two admission deadlines for entry in October 2015. These are Friday 23 January 2015 or Friday 13 May 2015.
Early application is recommended to secure one of the 25 places on offer.
Filling in the form
All applications must be complete before they can be reviewed by the Admissions Panel. Applicants are required to provide 3 references, original transcripts, an up to date CV/resume and a statement of purpose.
Top tips – To avoid delays in the admission process we recommend:
- Contact your referees before you upload their details to check whether they will be able to meet the deadline. Allow plenty of time for your referees to respond and upload their documents.
- Locate your original transcript for your undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, you may need to contact your University for documents ahead of the admissions deadline.
- If English is not your first language you are required to provide a Certificate of Proficiency or apply for a waiver. For a waiver to be supported by the Director of Graduate Studies a full description of any previous higher education examined and assessed in English is required together with a summary of your recent professional work experience undertaken in English.
Admission to graduate study at Oxford means that you will be offered a place by the admitting department and by a college.
